After college I moved to Boston with a girl. Her dad was a builder, and her mom was an architect. I went to work for them for the summer, thinking that I was going to get my teaching credentials in the fall. But I just loved carpentry and never went back to school. It was a good company to learn in. He was a good carpenter. I was working on some of the best homes in Brookline and Newton from day one.
Carpentry was something that I knew I’d never get bored with. It turns out I was right.
